Your Vitality Guide’s curriculum is divided into three parts:

Part 1: Self Knowledge

2 workbooks – 24 days – see yourself fully

The journey begins with self-awareness. The first workbook, FOUNDATIONS, lays the groundwork for intuitive nourishment. It includes a template for 10 days of self-observation and an outline for setting goals to reach your best health potential

Next, Chapter 1 (BALANCE) teaches you about the 80/20 balance for your diet and an often overlooked reason you might not feel your best. It concludes with further motivation and parameters to observe yourself and your food purchases and understand food and your body.

Part 2: How You Nourish

6 workbooks – 84 days – optimize your lifestyle

These six lessons dive into the lifestyle factors that prepare your body and mind to thrive. You’ll explore topics like:

  • Mindful: Digestion, mealtime habits, and mindfulness while eating.
  • Hydrate: The importance of hydration (you might be surprised by the microbiome and digestion talk) and how to create enjoyable hydration routines.
  • Emotion: Embracing emotions while eating, addressing disordered eating, and shifting away from food guilt.
  • Fuel: Understanding blood sugar balance, the delicate interplay between fasting and fueling, and your unique constitution with the introduction of Ayurveda. 
  • Rest: The role of true rest in your well-being, including sleep, body clocks (both circadian and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)), and setting boundaries.
  • Renewal: Why we move; discovering intuitive movement and how to exercise in a way that’s enjoyable and sustainable.

Part 3: What You Eat

5 workbooks – 70 days – customize your diet

This section completes the holistic picture by exploring food and dietary choices from different angles in your holistic journey to further personalize your lifelong, unique, holistic diet. Dive into topics such as:

  • Whole: Understanding whole foods, food labels, and unplugging from food marketing.
  • Function: Learning how macronutrients support your body with food lists, shopping guides, and more, layered with recognizing what nutrient deficiencies feel like and how to nourish accordingly.
  • Flavour: Uniting the Western flavour theory and Eastern wisdom from Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) about the energetics of flavour.  Observe and correct imbalances with food as your medicine.
  • Local: The benefits of eating locally and seasonally for your health and the environment, with wisdom from Ayurveda and TCM about the seasons of your life.
  • Change: Adapting your diet throughout life cycles with the wisdom of Ayurveda and TCM.

About the Author

Hi, I'm Carly

After being diagnosed with celiac disease, I was thrown into a world of food rules, strict labels, and fear of getting it wrong. It left me frustrated, confused, and deeply curious.

I searched for “health schools in Canada” and found the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. I enrolled in 2012 and have been walking the holistic path ever since.

Even with all the knowledge, I still cycled through food trends, stress, and self-doubt. It took time to learn that real nourishment isn’t about doing things perfectly. It’s about learning to listen, stay connected, and trust yourself.

These days, I eat with ease and joy. My meals shift with the seasons, my symptoms don’t scare me, and I feel at home in my body.

Through years of teaching, writing, and working with others, I’ve become a steady guide for those who feel unsure where to start. This journey brings together everything I’ve learned to help you build real trust with your body, feel better in your day-to-day life, and nourish with more confidence.
